For New Students

Welcome to the College of Human Ecology; we’re looking forward to knowing you and helping you to make the most of your education at Cornell. Enjoy your summer and keep a list of questions to ask us when you come to Orientation!

• Freshmen: Click on the link for more information about course enrollment and Orientation.

• Verify your major by June 16.

• College staff will reserve space for you in Human Ecology courses required for freshmen in your major. You will build the rest of your schedule between July 10-19.

• Transfers

• Tell us more about your interests and check your counseling assignment. 

• Choose and submit fall semester course requests July 10-19;
  use your credit evaluation as a reference, and call us if you have questions.

• Internal Transfers: You should already have received your credit evaluation via email and be enrolled for courses. We’ll see you at Orientation.

• Contact us anytime with questions.

• The University also sponsors additional orientation activities.
